Giving Your Nursery that Personal Touch

It’s been the rage for quite some time now, and I don’t see the fad fading anytime soon.  Making Baby’s name the focal point in your nursery, is probably something you’re planning to do, if you haven’t already.  And, it’s an easy way to add some flair to those walls and make it all about your little one.

When I was in my nesting stage and coming up with the perfect design for my little one’s room, I wanted to keep with the fad and ensure the nursery had some personalization in it, but I didn’t want to simply hang up the baby’s first name above the crib.  I wanted to think out of the box a bit and put my own stamp on exactly how my little one’s name would come to life in her nursery.  So, I decided to create it on my own, from scratch, and I have to say, I’m still in love with it 2 years later.

I decided to go the monogram route, creating it on 3 canvases that I painted myself, then hanging them by frilly pink ribbon.  And, by doing it all myself, it was very cost effective too.

This is just one idea of MANY to create the perfect personalization for your little one’s nest.  I recently turned to Pinterest to snag some more ideas to share on this post, since it really is the perfect destination to get AMAZING ideas on just about anything, and nursery decorating and personalization is well represented, just take a look.

Everything from wooden letters, to personalized wall decals, to paint, or a combination of all of them!
